Yes, actions taken by the large prescription drug companies like Pfizer and
Astra-Zeneca, have cut-off the supplies to Canadian Pharmacies like Jan Drugs.
This will raise prices paid by people like you when buying from Canadian pharmacies,
and may eventually destroy your ability to buy prescription drugs from Canada

Medications sold by Jandrugs undergo rigorous testing and review to verify their
identity, potency, purity, and stability and demonstrate that they are safe

22. Are generic prescription drugs as effective as
brand-name prescription drugs?
YES! Generic prescription drugs are just as effective as brand name prescription
drugs.
23. What if I don't want generic prescription drugs,
can I opt to have only brand-name prescription drugs?
Yes. On the questionnaire you can indicate whether or not generic prescription
drugs are acceptable. If you wish to have generic prescription drug substitution
on only some of your prescriptions, you can do any one of the following:
• Get your doctor to write the prescription specifically
requesting the generic prescription drug.
• On the questionnaire in the "Medications Being
Ordered" section write the brand name of the prescription drug desired
then put the word (GENERIC) in parenthesis beside it.
Write a note and include it when you send in the questionnaire indicating which
prescription drugs you wish to have filled with generic prescription drugs and
which you require the brand name prescription drug ![]()
24. Will I receive a bill along with my prescription
drug order and what will be listed on the bill?
Yes, you will receive an invoice marked paid along with your order. The bill
will detail all of the prescription drugs you received and the shipping charges.![]()

Yes, somewhat. The prescription drug information will have to be reviewed first
by our doctor and there is more likely to be information missing on your first

26. What payments do you accept?
We accept Visa, MasterCard, checks, international money orders, and can bill
directly from your checking account. Depending on the issuing bank you may be
charged a fee on your credit card for doing a transaction outside of the country.

I include my prescriptions in the same envelope?
Yes. When sending in questionnaires and prescriptions, they should be sent in
the same envelope. If one arrives with out the other, we cannot proceed
to fill and or/ship the order. Ideally, prescription faxes arrive from your

28. How much prescription drugs can I purchase at
one time?
Jan Drugs' policy is international customers may purchase a maximum of a 3-month
supply (100 days) of each of your prescription drugs provided that you have
a valid prescription for that supply of prescription drug. If your physician
writes a prescription for more than a 3-month supply of prescription drugs then
we can fill those as refills when you wish. It is not necessary to wait three
months between ordering your three month supply. There is no 100 day supply
restriction for non prescription drug items.![]()
29. After my prescription drug refills have run out,
do I have to submit a new questionnaire to order more prescription drugs?
No. You are required to fill in a questionnaire every year or if you have a
change in your medical circumstances or prescription drug information. ![]()
30. How long will it take to get refills on prescription

Prescription drugs refills can take up to 14 days for shipping. ![]()
31. How do I get my prescription drug refills?
In order to get prescription drug refills shipped you must call, fax or email
